Chinese are not that peaceful

Olimpiu, while I appreciate your positive outlook about Chinese, I think some of it is overtly positive.Saying that chinese is peaceful because we mainly kill each other, is like looking at second world war and say that whites are peaceful because they mainly kill each others.

Number wise, there are about as many chinese than there are whites in the world. The Han ethnic outnumber every other ethnic group by very very far. Our civil war is your world war. Our riots is your genocide.

It’s just a different term for saying the same thing.

Another Light on Palestinians and Jewish Conflicts

A Friendly Jew

Jim,
Israel strives for an ideal — one that no other country does. If the London riots were in Tel Aviv, and the police were as brutal, then the world would condemn Israel. Do you hear anyone condemning the British? Are any of their professors boycotted from teaching in a university because they represent the policies of the British entity? Anyone boycotting Cadbury chocolate? No, of course not.

Israel is held to a higher standard, where anything they do is not good. No matter what.

Religions as Views of Their Members

Religions are often just views of their members. Different members have different prejudice and hence interpret things differently.

Jews tend to think “love thy neighbor as thy self” to mean we should be “fair”

And Christian tends to think that to mean charity. This seems to be motivated by desire to accuse those who are rich as wrong.

Business, under capitalism, is not only fair, but is actually quite merciful.

Under capitalism, we acquire land through buying. Yet, morally superior people would call land, holy land, which justifies, holy war, and holy lies, and holy rocket, and holy bombing, and holy this and holy that, creating conflicts of a century.
