When People Commit Evil in the Name of Religion, Should We Blame the Religion or Human Nature?

Human nature. And that’s precisely the problem with religion. Most influential religious dogma are simply sugar coated human nature. The fact that it needs to be coated shows that it’s actually something we would normally be repulsive.

I don’t know if God is behind any religion. Maybe God is indeed behind the original religion. A BIG IF, whatever that mean. However it means practically nothing because we’re not following the original religion. We are following modern interpretation of ancient religion.

While I don’t know if God is behind any religion, I know for sure that corrupt officials and tyrants are behind most religious doctrines.

US don’t grab Iraq Oil?

US don’t grab Iraq oil? How honorable. I think it looks more like you tried too but then the public relationship backslash is too big that you choose to withdraw. Anyway it’s fair price. The iraqis seems better of defeated by US. They are effectively liberated.

I still do not get it though. Saddam was quite nice to Christians minority. He didn’t betray US. He attacked Kuwait not knowing that US is against that. He attacked Iran because Iran messed up with US. Yes he killed his own people, but only when US government approve that.

What’s so stupid abour religion?

There is a general that is rumored to say, I don’t care if economy go back 30 years I want chinese to get out of the country.

However, recently that same guy pick chinese vice governor and won. Hmmm…. Perhaps it’s just libel.

Hatred is part of agenda Mike. People already hate each other (like you hate christians). They just make religions to justify the hatred.

And people believe all sort of nonsense. Global warming is one such nonsense. Drug war is another.
